The REAL team includes a number of meteorologists and climatologists. In addition, REAL is able to supplement its insights into atmospheric and weather-related events and its views of natural hazards through WeatherPredict Consulting Inc., another RenaissanceRe subsidiary. This level of in-house research expertise affords REAL both reliable data upon which to base contracts, and a deeper understanding of clients’ exposure to weather events.
